WHY WE ARE A CLOSED FACILITY...

Ten or so years ago if a breeder tried to tell someone that they didn't allow visitors to come see their facility or puppies this would have been a HUGE red flag that these folks were either back yard breeders or just plain scammers. I would have been one of the first people to tell you to run, RUN like the wind and find another breeder. Unfortunately though, over the past decade the times, and diseases, have definitely changed.... and changed for the worst.                          Did you know that things like Parvo, Dog Flu, Kennel Cough and MANY other illnesses can be accidentally introduced simply by walking through an area or by not changing tainted clothes? Did you know that many of these illnesses can live in the soil for years and can be next to impossible to get rid of once it is established? Although many doggie illnesses can be tolerated by adult dogs, they can decimate puppies and entire litters. Things like Parvo and the flu are mutating so rapidly that it's almost impossible for the drug companies to keep the vaccinations up to date and effective for all strains. A family that is out looking for a new member of the family can go to a breeding facility and unknowingly pick up any one of these nasty illnesses and then travel to your place and accidentally infect an entire litter of young puppies. Scary but very true.                              Up until just a few years ago we would happily allow folks to come visit us and our dogs in our home, but lately as the risk of violent thefts and rapidly mutating diseases have increased we have become what is known as a closed facility. This means that we do not allow outside visitors...ever. Does it cost us some sales? Absolutely! But we feel it is necessary to protect our dogs and our family.                                               This next scenario happens over and over...A potential client calls you and sets up an appointment to visit. You set a time and give them directions. You wait around most of the day but they are sadly a no show. You try to reach them but your calls go unanswered. Then it happens.... Sometime in the middle of the night you hear a terrible noise that rips you from a sound sleep. Your dogs are screaming, people are yelling, and then you realize what is happening -someone is in your home and stealing your dogs! . It is a looming fear of every French Bulldog breeder. Theft is VERY real and you hear about it on the news almost every week. Below are just a few of the terrible headlines.                                   We hope you can understand why we have become a closed facility. We are happy to show you our babies through pictures, video, and even FaceTime. We have many references and are happy to answer any questions.
